After taking several courses in all areas of the fashion industry, the six students designed and completed a collection of 3-4 looks that will be presented to all participants, press and media as part of their graduation as fashion designers from the Fashion Institute of Florida.

The students have been working on their collections for several months, designing patterns, creating mock-ups and sewing each design piece and we are all thrilled with the designs.

Students will simultaneously compete for the opportunity to showcase the entire collection of 12 looks at NYFW Fashion Designers of Latin America this September 2023 in New York City.

A panel of fashion industry authorities will judge our students' collections, including Elan Savir, President of Elan International; Ms. Viviana Gabeiras, Head Designer of Petit Pois, along with other local icons of the fashion industry. Together, they will select the winners based on the creativity, execution and overall harmony of the collection.

Festivities will begin at 5:30pm with an opening reception where attendees can interact and view some of the student work up close, take photos and mingle. Afterwards, at 7pm, attendees can move to the Floridian Ballroom for the graduation ceremony and fashion show, including a speech by one of our alumni and our school president, Ms. D'Oleo-Schwartz.

This magnificent event will be concluded by a runway show where all the students will present their designs on professional runway models on a 50-foot catwalk and select the deserving candidate as winner.
